Meet Aston

STATEMENT

Making art is a process of discovery for me. This process helps me understand both positive and negative events in my life that have shaped me into the woman I am today.

Although I paint, draw, carve and work with ceramics, I find the enduring qualities of steel to be my true medium. I love the challenges of working with metal.

As I create, I learn more about the characteristics, possibilities and restrictions of the material as well as myself.

Bill

Bil is one of the fun wall art pieces I have created out of mild steel. His face is 16 inches wide and 2 feet tall. He is named after my Uncle Bill, who is one of my biggest mentors. As you will see, I enjoy creating whimsical art and each piece has meaning behind it. NFS.
